Our Learning Solutions team is responsible for developing, leading, and driving the execution of the finance and actuarial technology training vision and strategy. The e-Learning Specialist role is an integral part of developing training programs incorporating effective adult learning principals to build capability in the Finance and Actuarial communities at Prudential.

You will be part of the Learning Solutions Team within the Actuarial and Finance Technology organization. You and your peers of Learning Specialists will have the ability to gain knowledge on the latest financial & actuarial applications, understand complex business concepts to design and develop the training programs. We will provide you with opportunities to work in a collaborative environment and interact with multiple levels of the organization.
You will have the opportunity to creatively analyze, design, develop, implement and maintain training programs to meet the learning needs and requirements of our application users including training for our financial and actuarial systems. This includes e-learning, instructor-led and virtual training programs.
You will use your experience and knowledge in instructional technologies with course authoring, graphics, animation and audio development software, web audio video and animation development software.
You will translate instructional concepts into interactive graphics or animations and perform needs analysis to determine appropriate course content and course delivery method (e-learning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led). This includes measuring and assessing results of learning initiatives and implementing enhancements as needed.
You will use your relationship building skills to create exceptional relationships with our subject matter experts, development teams, business stakeholders, and finance and actuarial professionals in order to understand their training needs and provide high quality training experiences.
What we are looking for in your background
What you'll need to succeed:
•Bachelor's degree in instructional design, e-Learning or related field of study, business and/or financial or actuarial knowledge a plus
•Minimum 3-5 years' experience developing e-learning and instructor-led training
•Ability to learn financial & actuarial applications and understand complex business concepts quickly to design and develop the training programs
•Ability to lead the development process from initiation through completion, including management of scoping, scheduling, defining deliverables, review cycles, milestone and resource tracking, and reporting
•Planning, organization and attention to detail
•Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to read the audience and tailor the information/materials accordingly
•Self-starter - demonstrates initiative - someone who does not need to be assigned tasks, but rather thinks through the problem/assignment and determines what needs to be done
•Proven ability to meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a superior standard of quality
•Ability to experiment in new learning techniques and technologies and to seize new opportunities for enhancing learning
•Knowledge of the latest trends in instructional design technology
•Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in teams
•Ability to interact with all levels in the organization
•Proficiency with Articulate Storyline preferred, including experience with creating and publishing courses as well as creating engaging interactions
•Working with externally created rich media (graphics, audio, video, flash animations)
•Experience creating interactive software simulations using Adobe Captivate
•Experience creating videos using Vyond (GoAnimate) (or similar) a plus
•Experience creating video screencasts using TechSmith Camtasia or Adobe Captivate
•Experience creating and editing of custom graphics using Adobe Photoshop (or similar) a plus
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, PowerPoint, Project, Word etc.)
