TITLE : Director & Actuary (The Prudential Insurance Company of America)

LOCATION: Newark , NJ

DUTIES: Responsible for research insights and intelligence which informs the enterprise strategy, planning and portfolio decisions across various functions. Work as part of a cutting-edge cross functional team with a diverse skill set. Execute research across the life sciences landscape, including medical, biological, technological, socio-economic, competitor, and underwriting, that impacts future longevity, mortality and morbidity. Leverage industry, market, consumer, competitive, and financial data and analysis to develop and maintain intelligence about key and emerging trends. Leverage depth and breadth of internal and external data sources for insights. Provide strategic intelligence and insights that could cause disruption or opportunistic moments for Prudential's businesses. Collaborate and coordinate with key business partners to share actionable insights while driving deeper understanding and impact of market trends and competitive moves.

Qualifications:
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Insurance, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Director, Actuary, Associate Actuary, Associate Manager, Actuarial, or a related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with: US retirement products; payout annuity products; statutory valuation; product development and profitability analysis; asset-liability management; analyzing seriatim and grouped outputs from actuarial software; using Excel VBA for quantitative modeling; reviewing actuarial assumptions; model validation and cell testing; and database/data warehouse solutions design and development. Must be a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

HOURS : Full time; Mon- Fri (37.5 hrs/week)
