Primary Function
Provide audiovisual and videoconference technical support for broad, high level and complex multimedia events in conference rooms and event spaces; provide expertise and guidance to clients and technical and operational feedback to engineering and management.
Role and Responsibilities
Set up, operate and strike conference room systems including varying types of microphones and sound amplification systems, data/video displays and projection systems, AV device control systems, video switching, robotic camera systems, professional audio and video recording systems and video streaming.
Conduct pre-event meetings with clients, meeting planners and vendors to ensure audio visual requirements are met for each event.
Operate audio board, place microphones on presenters, maintain proper sound levels during meetings.
Hands-on experience working with multiple collaboration tools such as WebEx, Skype, Microsoft Teams and various polling software.
Perform AV equipment troubleshooting and testing prior to and during meetings.
Experience working with control systems such Crestron, Evertz, Cisco, Extron, RTS etc.
Set up and operate professional portable broadcast cameras for recording and video conferencing.
Ability to set up PowerPoint presentations, connect laptop and desktop computers with display interfaces to portable and data projectors; able to correctly size and adjust a data image on-screen.
Ability to set up and operate audio systems consisting of microphones, mixer, and speakers and adjust system for good speech level with no feedback; other audio sources such as computer audio and/or CD/DVD playback may also be required to connect to mixer.
Report system anomalies, equipment problems, customer relations issues or any other daily event concerns that arise.
Support the Pru Productions Engineer-in-Charge and fill-in as needed for ongoing operation and maintenance of television studios, remote video and audio equipment and Avid Editing suites.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Excellent customer service skills and professional presence.
Strong knowledge of current AV and broadcast industry practices, standards and procedures.
High level of problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend and implement alternative set-up and/or operations for complex systems.
Solid experience with microphone systems, digital audio consoles, video systems, lighting equipment, computers, device control systems.
Familiarity with computer networks (LANs, net connections and IP).
Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint software to assist presenters.
Must possess excellent skills of various video playback systems, video formats and AV routing systems.
Capability to read and understand wiring diagrams, CAD drawings and schematics.
Solid work ethic - Patience and Exceptional Customer Service skills.
Additional video production skills such as live event audio, editing, or field experience are desirable.
Willingness to be cross trained in multiple positions with a proactive attitude to jump in where help is needed.
Ability to report for early morning and/or evening assignments as required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Audio/Electronic Engineering or related field preferred; or Technical school training with electronics training and related experience.
4 years' experience with the setup, operation and troubleshooting of conference rooms, auditoriums, theater, hotels and/or broadcast environment.
Physical Demands
The duties of this position require the ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders and to stand for long periods of time.
Candidate must be capable of working at heights and have good balance.
Candidate may be required to lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
