Director of Finance

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our financial accounting, reporting and planning activities. The successful applicant will be experienced, ideally in a fast-growing SaaS business context, in all aspects of the finance function and will have a path to eventually lead all finance activities for ProviderTrust. The broad responsibilities for this role include the following:

Accounting and reporting:

  • Produce and ensure accuracy of monthly financial reporting, highlighting key trends and variants  
  • Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported 
  • Ensure reporting complies with legal and industry standards 
  • Manage annual financial audits 
  • Manage cash-flow, approving recurring payments and regularly reviewing cash levels and trends 
  • Manage AR and ensure collections 
  • Oversee payroll process 
  • Operate bank accounts, perform appropriate bank reconciliations, ensure cash deposits, etc. 
  • Prepare financial reports for exec, board and other ad hoc needs 
  • Prepare tax filings and related tax accounting activities 
  • Liaise with bank managers, accountants, and auditors 
  • Identify and implement accounting tool for ProviderTrust 

Planning, analysis, other:

  • Build and maintain financial models and forecasts - P&L, cash-flow, and balance sheet 
  • Participate in annual budget process with full team 
  • Track to budget throughout the year, communicating frequently to executive team and identifying appropriate systems and controls as needed 
  • Calculate sales quota achievements, commissions, etc and work with sales team to forecast and optimize sales comp strategy 
  • Partner with broader leadership team to understand metrics and KPI and develop tracking and reporting mechanisms 
  • Create and maintain models for CAC, customer LTV, and other sales productivity metrics 
  • Work with executive team and marketing/sales teams to develop pricing strategy 
  • Analyze competitor / other company financial filings data 
  • Ensure corporate compliance 

Requirements:

  • Accounting experience, CPA preferred
  • Experience in B2B SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for success as well as strong work ethic
  • The ability to work efficiently and lead yourself in a fluid environment
  • Strong track record of accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
  • Dynamic and innovative; able to approach difficult problems from multiple directions and promote new ideas
  • Work on site at Nashville location
