Main purpose

Responsible for providing pre-sales support and/or consultancy to prospects and existing customers throughout the sales cycle within the assigned region

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attending both virtual and on premise Conferences, Marketing events and presenting marketing collaterals, thought leadership presentations and product demos to wide audience and prospects
  • Attending meetings with prospect/existing customer to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collected prior to producing a solution
  • Identifying and uncovering prospect/customer business needs and pain points
  • Demonstrating products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge in a professional manner
  • Ensuring compliance of technical solutions according to the prospect/existing customer requirements
  • Quantifying operational, financial and business advantages of the proposed solution for the prospect/customer
  • Collaborating with sales teams to define and execute account strategies within their respective geographical territories
  • Interfacing with professional services teams to ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery
  • Providing relevant responses to RFIs/RFPs
  • Keeping up to date on the latest trends and developments in the HE industry and potential effects on, and opportunities for, prospects and existing customers
  • Up to 50% travelling time in Europe

Personal Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technology related subject
  • 2 -5 years of experience in enterprise IT pre-sales, or technical consultancy experience
  • Experience in working in an international environment with a complex matrix structure
  • Preferably experienced in working with a sales system based on competitive tendering (RFPs/RFIs)
  • Fluent in English language, any additional language is a plus
  • Ability to work with a prospective customer’s IT department to gain trust and establish technical credibility
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Extensive business solution selling experience in selling/presenting to C-level business executives
  • Structured and goal-oriented way of working
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels to achieve win-win situations
