Professional Services Manager

Position Summary:

Ex Libris is looking for an experienced Professional Services Manager to be based in Singapore to oversee and provide project management leadership in spearheading a multi-product implementation for an international library management software company in the APAC region.

The individual filling this role is expected to provide guidance and decision-making on major drivers and outcomes related to the successful execution and delivery of the project. The successful candidate will maintain an ongoing work plan and will ensure that all work carried out is in alignment with the goals and objectives of the business. He / She will be a key contributor to the management team for planning, budgeting and other general management issues, as well providing a mentoring approach to the business analysts and functional project managers in project management practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of project managers in delivering Ex Libris product implementation services across APAC
  • Overall accountability of ensuring successful delivery of product implementation across APAC
  • Inspire greater team work and collaboration among direct reports and collaborate extensively across Ex Libris regional and global organization
  • Motivate and guide team members towards effective, timely and accurate service delivery with focus on service excellence
  • Participate in process improvement, global initiative and work standardization across APAC
  • Create project plan, form project team, defining scope of work, update steering committee/stakeholder, track issues, conduct regular progress meeting, drive conflict resolution, control cost and resources including managing schedule and timeline
  • Monitors and reports on schedule and cost, margins and profitability
  • Effectively applies PRINCE2 Project Management methodology
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues and requests, provide first line support to customers during implementation cycle
  • Interpret and understand customer requirements and workflows and translate into Ex Libris solutions
  • Provide product training to customers, via Web-based or on-site training
  • Perform system and data analysis as part of product implementations

Required experience/skills:
  • Degree in Computer science / Library Science /Information Studies /Sciences or similar
  • Minimum of 7years of project/program management experience
  • PRINCE2 Project Management Certification from a recognized institution/association
  • Possess strong project and team management experience from the software industry
  • Previous experience in deployment of complex software projects, such as ERP systems, and project management in a multi-vendor environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and technical abilities
  • Strong communication, training and presentation skills
  • MS Project and Office skills
  • Team Player with the ability to work independently with only little supervision
  • Enjoy working in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
  • Background in library workflows/standards strongly preferred but not mandatory
  • Previous experience working with Library management and archival collections management solutions/products would be advantageous
