QA Automation Analyst

The Quality Assurance Automation Analyst will be responsible for creating, developing, executing test plans and automation scripts that will determine application performance and stability according to business specifications. The priceline.com Quality Assurance team is looking for an energetic self-starter. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with great interpersonal skills, enjoys thinking 'out of the box', and with excellent software development skills, particularly in JavaScript (or a similar object-oriented language).

You will be expected to work directly with various stakeholders including but not limited to Project Managers and Developers, to plan/execute testing efforts in a multilayered dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine application performance according to specifications
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
  • Execute and evaluate manual/ automated test reporting
  • Able to efficiently work and prioritize on multiple projects and able to work effectively under strict production deadlines
  • Provide recommendations for improvement of applications to stakeholders                    
  • Test any new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications
  • Write and Execute Automated regression scripts (Selenium, Node.JS, Mocha or similar)
  • Collaborating with Developers to create unit tests that meet project requirements
  • Perform automation of business and technical processes, trouble-shooting of production issues and fixing as needed
  • Ensure that company coding standards, policies and IT procedures are observed
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new strategies and technologies
  • Scrum/ Agile knowledge and working experience preferred
  • Drive continuous improvement in the Agile practices and standards

Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience testing web-based applications
  • Familiarity with QA testing tools and methodologies (Quality Center, Jira, QTP, Selenium, or similar)
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming languages such as JavaScript or similar
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and familiarity with automated frameworks
  • Experience working in Agile/ Scrum Teams
