Customer Education Trainer

As the Customer Education Trainer (CET), you will be responsible for taking our users through the experience of learning Prezi from tool to technique. Your role will involve being a trusted trainer, advisor, and consultant for our diverse and growing customer base, while at the same time motivating them to drive adoption within their organization.

This position is not only about teaching Prezi as a tool, but also about the techniques to creating presentations that wow. While everyone needs to learn the functionality and features, your work as the CET will help customers break away from the linear slide-to-slide presentation and become more visual storytellers. Our customers are here because they are all trying to change the way they communicate, and you’re here because you want to help them do just that.

As CET, you’ll report directly to our Global Learn and Training Manager to tackle a number of challenges and responsibilities:

Training

  • Responsible for delivering all customer-facing training sessions. This includes, but not limited to, remote and onsite trainings, open Q&A sessions, and recordings
  • Create, maintain, and edit training materials in a variety of formats to support users at all levels of knowledge and skill
  • Manage the end-to-end training program with customers. This includes training set up, attendee coordination, content, surveys, and tracking
  • Do a quarterly view on the efficiency of our training and make recommendations on ways to improve
  • Able to create and test new training modules prior to rolling them out to encourage product usage
  • Determine metrics to help track and measure the success of trainings

Customer

  • Understand the journey customers make when looking to transform storytelling skills, and can translate this knowledge to deliver a world-class learning methodology
  • Provide clear, design-oriented feedback about presentations created by customers
  • Provide state-of-the-art customer training that will inspire and motivate to become better storytellers
  • Look at every training as a new audience with great possibilities to promote the methodology of visual communication

Internal

  • As a Prezi product expert, part of your responsibilities will be to stay on top of all new product releases and enhancements. Additionally, you are passionate about visual communication and the opportunities that it brings to customers
  • Understand the connection between a strong training program and the road to upsell and renewal
  • Assess how the training curriculum is performing through customer data
  • Look for continuous improvements to procedures and processes which lead to higher efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Be a voice for the customer at Prezi
  • Coordinate and communicate with Customer Success Managers to ensure customers are learning the product, to help identify gaps in the journey, and to help build trust amongst our customer base

In a typical week, the breakdown would be: 60% live training delivery, and 25% curriculum development, and 15% evaluation.

 In the first three months:

  • Company onboarding. Get to know the teams you’ll be working with
  • Learn everything there is to know about the Prezi product suite
  • Spend time working with presentation designers to understand what makes a good presentation
  • Understand the current training and certification processes
  • Learn the techniques involved with creating better presentations
  • Begin delivering training sessions based on the current format
  • Work with global learn and train team to improve and strategize training going forward

In the first year:

  • End-to-end responsibility for all training delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of Prezi product suite, as well as design and presentation skills
  • Channeling relevant feedback to teams

 

Minimum qualifications

  • An understanding of the power of Prezi as a presentation tool - subject matter expert preferred
  • Experience training and mentoring future presenters
  • A passion promoting visual storytelling
  • Enthusiastic about teaching new skills and kickstarting Prezi usage for new customers
  • Proven track record of managing a technical curriculum or content
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • A creative mind with an eye on design
  • Experience with design software (Adobe)
  • BA/BS degree
  • Willing to travel, if needed
  • Comfortable on camera
  • Quick on your feet and can adapt to changes/problems as needed
  • Experience in teaching presentation skills is a big plus (both in creating and delivering a presentation
  • Experience at a software company focused on SaaS and/or cloud computing
  • Ability to innovate, think creatively & work collaboratively to address problems
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and execution
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce.com as a CRM
  • Experience identifying and implementing a LMS
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • One or more language skills a plus
