This editor will lead a team of reporters responsible for driving the conversation of the day with fast, smart stories on developments in Washington and beyond. The breaking news team serves a central, integrated function in the newsroom, and is expected to be enterprising in how it tackles major news. The ideal candidate has a natural sense of urgency, strong news judgment, polished editing skills, a knack for nurturing young talent, a relentless drive to win, and an impish sense of fun.
