Assistant Producer, POLITICO Podcast
POLITICO is seeking an assistant producer to support our growing suite of podcasts. You'll dive into high-profile news on politics and policy, shaping programming for a sophisticated audience. You'll have a front-row seat to newsmakers interviews, roundtables and more. And you'll intersect with scores of journalists in one of the nation's leading newsrooms.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing audio programming, a strong interest in national politics and a track record of working independently with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do:
- Recording audio in the field or studio soundboard
- Editing in Adobe Audition
- Researching potential guests and sending booking requests
- Uploading episodes and writing summaries
What You'll Need:
- Audio editing experience, including cleaning tracks, mixing complex segments and scoring with music
- Familiarity with audio equipment and camera experience
- Experience researching episode topics and tracking down news clips
- Experience developing social media strategies and creating promotional assets using Photoshop or After Effects
- Familiarity with national politics and policy
