Job Description

Pluralsight is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented marketer with a strong background of sales partnerships to join as the Field Marketing Director for North America. As a positive contributor of the demand generation team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of territory demand plans, including events and other demand generation activities.

As a field marketer, you will function as the primary liaison between the Field Sales Team and the Marketing Organization. You will need to determine the right marketing mix/vehicle (i.e. regional conferences, field events, direct mail, call campaigns, etc.) to generate awareness and demand – with the ultimate goals of generating new business, moving accounts through the sales pipeline and accelerating the sales cycle.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Primary liaison between North America Field Sales and Corporate Marketing
  • Partner with senior sales leadership to develop regional field strategy
  • Communicate field sales requirements for success to Marketing and other relevant departments
  • Plan, create and execute all marketing activities for the region and report results
  • Event planning duties as they pertain to developing and executing the regional event plans
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and other organizations to ensure lead and pipeline acceleration goals achieved
  • Reporting and analytics around territories and sub territories, tracking efficiency and ROI
  • Accountable to pipeline creation and marketing/sales targets for all of North America
  • Determine appropriate marketing strategies for campaign effectiveness for given regions / segment
  • Develop and execute strategy to drive event attendance
  • Support team with larger conference planning and logistics (Customer user conference, partner forms, internal conferences, and International roadshows) as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Effective project management, delivering projects within agreed timeline and budget
  • Travel (20%-30%) for onsite event production, coordination and support
  • Reporting and accountability for events and activities for North America for all regions and segments.
  • Manage all regional field marketing team members and efforts in North America.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of field and event marketing experience with a focus in software/technology
  • Strong experience in marketing software into enterprise level clientele
  • Well organized, detail oriented, & creative.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts, arranging and overseeing staff and handling budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively under pressure while remaining positive, flexible, and open to feedback
  • Creative thinking around new events.

  • Good problem solving skills, ability to act on your feet and make ciritical decisions
  • Proven experience interfacing with internal & external constituents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including editing and proofreading)
  • Experience with relevant software applications including MS Office, Salesforce.com, Marketo, etc
