Head of Diversity & Inclusion
Founded in 2004 and trusted by Fortune 500 companies, Pluralsight is the technology learning platform organizations and individuals in 150+ countries count on to innovate faster and create progress for the world.
Working at Pluralsight
At Pluralsight, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to create progress through technology. That everyone should have access to the skills of tomorrow. That technology can make the world a better place. Through the work we do everyday, we empower the people who power our world.
And we don’t let fear, egos or drama distract us from our mission. We’re adults, and we treat each other that way. We have the autonomy to do our jobs, transparency to eliminate office politics and trust each other to do the right thing. We thrive in an environment with creativity around every corner, challenges that keep us on our toes, and peers who inspire us to be the best we can be. We bring different viewpoints, backgrounds and experiences, and united by our mission, we are one.
At Pluralsight, we’re committed to closing the tech-skills gap so that making change in the world through technology is open to anyone. Our work builds the pipeline of tech talent and creates opportunity, and we want to ensure it also creates a more diverse workforce. We recognize it starts from within: diversity must be tightly woven into our business with our people, culture, the product we create, and the content we produce. Ultimately, we must develop diverse talent pipelines because our collective differences in backgrounds, experiences, and thought is what will move us forward as a company and industry. Our Head of Diversity & Inclusion will lead to these outputs. We are looking for a visionary leader to develop and implement our workplace diversity strategy. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this leader will work closely with our executive leadership team, as well as other leaders across the company to create and lead meaningful diversity & inclusion initiatives within Pluralsight.
Given the nuances of this role, this leader will work out of our headquarters near Salt Lake City, Utah. We'll relocate the right person and are open to creating transition plans for timing that works on both sides.
What You’ll Own:
Creating a culture of diversity at all levels of our business
Building coalitions with partners and external stakeholders that will help us forward D&I in tech as well as our own talent mix and recruiting pipelines
Driving our workplace D&I strategy in a way that aligns our product, culture, community, people, and industry to complement our social impact D&I strategy and make true impact in democratizing tech education; celebrating and encouraging diversity in our workplace, in the content we produce, in our learning platform, and ultimately in the industry as a whole
Auditing our current state as a workplace and driving solutions internally, first, as a focus (i.e. benefits, cultural programs, hiring process, recruiting methods, internal mobility, professional development, office space, etc.); creating a new lens which we operate the business through
Creating a strategic, holistic, long-term approach that lends itself to enduring and meaningful diversity impact
Leading a stellar cross-functional team and lead D&I within the organization with our executive leadership team, the board, and our people
Working at all levels of the vision, strategy, and execution (create workplace metrics we want to impact, create and drive strategy,, partner internally and externally to drive the results)
