About Role

As a Delivery Driver and Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the delivery of our amazing products through the last step in their journey to our valued customers. We want high energy people who wear a smile and exude the Plenty brand. You will drive trucks/transit vans to safely deliver products to customers on an established route, promote customer satisfaction by ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service by performing the following duties.

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver drives trucks/transit vans appropriate to their driver’s license, safely delivers products to customers on established routes, promotes customer satisfaction by ensuring the customer receives higher than expected level of service by performing the following duties.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, safely and courteously
  • Inspect vehicle; check fluid levels, lights, tires, etc.; perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required
  • Pull orders, load/unload material and secure the load on the vehicle
  • Review delivery manifest; review customer information and special instructions; verify material loaded on truck matches material ordered; sign and date invoice
  • Read and interpret maps, road signs and driving directions to plan the most efficient route and schedule of deliveries to job sites
  • Practice defensive driving and obey all driving laws and road signs
  • Maintain communication with dispatcher by hands-free phone or two-way radio; relay information about schedule delays or changes, errors, customer questions, etc.
  • Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary
  • Maintain and submit all driving records such as manifests and mileage and gas receipts
  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of your vehicle(s) and the shipping and yard areas
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Inform supervisor of your whereabouts, attendance, activities, problems identified and potential problems
  • Listens to and resolves service complaints from customers
  • Inspecting and offloading various goods from delivery trucks
  • Receiving goods into Coupa or Netsuite 
  • Communicates irregularities with receiving to supplier quality or appropriate team member
  • Maintains accurate inventory of all goods
  • Prepares finished goods for shipment

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience reading manifests and handling materials
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with customers and ensuring satisfaction in delivery
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using forklifts
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
  • Computer literacy; able to work with new computer systems and technology (RF Scanners and iPads used for this position)

Food Safety Requirements

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
  • Comply with GMP/GAPS in the Facility 
  • Conduct monitoring activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications 
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system
