Mobile Build Engineer

The Pinterest mobile apps are rapidly evolving and used by millions every day. How we build and ship on a regular schedule greatly affects our development process and is critical to ensure the highest quality experience for all Pinners. You’ll be instrumental in shaping and extending our mobile build platform to ensure our developers can remain focused on their work and reach our users safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Extend the capacity of our existing system to support our fast-growing teams of developers
  • Monitor and ensure stability & reliability of the build pipeline including test & deployment steps
  • Maintain our virtualized worker node infrastructure
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to reduce day-to-day maintenance needs
  • Increase visibility of build & test failure details to developers

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Mobile Build or Release Engineer role
  • A deep understanding of Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and Testing
  • Experience in both iOS and Android build environments (Xcode, xcodebuild, code-signing, Android Studio, Gradle)
  • Experience in OS X & Linux
  • Strong command-line and scripting skills (bash, Python)
