Job Description

Philips Lighting is looking for a Social and Search evangelist to drive Philips Hue, the leader in smartphone-connected lighting to become a synonymous with Smart home. As the category doubles in size YOY (year over year), we need a creative social/digital leader to bring understanding and awareness of Hue value-proposition and help shape the overall Smart home/Connected home category and make Hue the must-have in their lives. Finding new ways to bring the brand and category to life is a must.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute social marketing strategies for new and existing targets to enlighten all to Hue and the Smart home category. Lead Social efforts with agencies and leadership team to develop actionable/measurable plan to serve brand and business objectives, tracking overall performance against benchmarks.

Create and lead social platform and messaging strategy building Advocates, Influencers, and Experts to understand & evangelize Hue

Partner with Product, Partnership, and brand leads to develop and bring to market viable social and digital media integrations with key Voice partners: Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple home. Build comprehensive social platform to drive not only awareness for products but increase Hue brand value in the overall space while establishing Hue as a must-have for anyone with a voice device.

Stay up to date on and leverage the latest analytics tools, vendors and social agencies that will best move our business forward. Interpret and analyze all available data and make timely strategic and tactical recommendations based on insights to make Hue & its users a leader in this space.

Create strong best practices infrastructure to enable test/learn competencies ongoing.

Strong understanding of how Social compliments and integrates with digital a must

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8+ or more years' of experience in social media, preferably related to technical (IoT preferred), wireless or consumer electronics (CE) industry.
  • Well-versed in major social platforms' best practices, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter, Mashable, Lifehacker, and working knowledge of secondary platforms (Tumblr, Pinterest), with a keen eye for emerging platforms and trends.
  • Proficiency in social platform campaign management dashboards and campaign performance analytics.
  • Must have a track record of implementing operational excellence (process efficiencies, effective tools and technologies) in an analytics function.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic marketing, media, social, web site analysis, audience targeting tools.
  • Up to 10% Travel is required
