Product Manager- Entertainment Lighting

Your challenge

Translate business opportunities into product-market combinations; define commercial specifications for the required products, co-responsibility for the realization of the products and proper introduction of those products into the market. Define new products and the introduction of improved versions of existing product(s) or new feature(s) added to the product to extend the product lifecycle. Support the realization of sales.

Your responsibilities

  • Formulates the upstream product strategy for the assigned portfolio.
  • Collects and analyzes market information and defines existing market target groups.
  • Formulates the specification of new products based on available technology, components and existing market situation in order to have new products available on short term.
  • Translates a general product plan into clear detailed product specifications for development.
  • Guides the project team in the execution phase of the PCP.
  • Drives the market introduction of the new product.

Your Team:

Philips Entertainment is a Global business group within the Professional Lighting Solution group. We operate as a global end to end business in the area of entertainment lighting. We develop, design, manufacture, sell and service entertainment lighting equipment and controls typically used at Live Events, Theatres, Theme Parks, Houses of Worship, Fairs, Corporate Events, Schools etc. We have operations in Dallas, Texas, Dongguan (China), Auckland (New Zealand) and in various European locations.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, electronics preferred; Master's degree/MBA highly desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management and Development Process
  • Lighting experience is strongly preferred; entertainment industry experience a big plus
  • Portfolio management experience of innovative products
  • Previous experience working within a global team
  • Excellent project management skills, able to successfully manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic business environment
  • Proven success in launching new products from idea generation to market delivery
  • Ability to work with and motivate a variety of different stakeholders to develop plans and achieve targets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills, capable of managing meetings and negotiations
  • Experience in a high tech industry
  • Ability to travel up to 25% is required (mostly travel in U.S. to support trade shows with some international travel (1-2 times per year to China and other trade shows)
