Your challenge

Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we're looking for?

For this internship, we are looking for a student who will support our Center of Excellence (COE) Talent & Organizational Development within the HR team. As we embark ourselves in our standalone journey, this COE is supporting critical activities to execute our strategy with the right people, in the right number, at the right place.

Some of our priorities in 2017 are defining, assessing and building Philips Lighting's Fit for Future competencies and driving the annual global Strategic Workforce Planning process. All these critical initiatives will be part of the Internship portfolio gaining exposure through the organization at different levels.

Your responsibilities

You will be supporting the Organizational Development team by:

  • Managing Fit for Future competencies processes and related reports
  • Communicating with all HR and business/market/functional stakeholders ensuring impeccable execution
  • Learning about our organization blueprint and our organizational development philosophy
  • Driving insights from data, identifying biggest gaps and opportunities
  • Supporting the annual global Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) process through 18 markets and 4 global businesses: support communication and readiness plan as well as HRBPs and managers engagement

Your main objective will be to guarantee execution of COE priorities in the 2nd half of 2017 by supporting the team as needed through the activities mentioned above. During this internship, you should be able to provide reliable Fit for Future assessment reports, data and insights through solid analysis and fully support HR Business Partners with strong preparation, in a timely manner and in multiple simultaneous locations. You should be able to deliver high quality and accurate results, on time and under tight deadlines.

Your team

The COE is comprised by ninety members, including two Organizational Development Partners, five Talent Partners, three Regional Talent Acquisition teams, two Project Managers and Head of COE.

Our offer

We are offering an internship of 6 months in an international, fast-paced environment while working with a motivated and experienced team of professionals.

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Available per: September 1st
  • Place: primarily Amsterdam and Eindhoven as needed

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

  • Currently studying towards your HBO Bachelor / Bachelor of Science / Master of science WO in: Human Resources, Psychology, Work and Organizational Psychology, Organizational Change and Consulting, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, Computer Sciences, etc.
  • Very good verbal and written English language sills
  • Familiar with basic HR Organizational Development and Talent Management/Acquisition principles
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills, solid IT knowledge
  • Affinity with Project Management
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Previous internship experience is considered a plus

Internship conditions:

  • You will receive an internship allowance; the exact amount depends on your level of education and work permit requirements. The offered internship allowances are compliant to the Dutch legislation. You might be eligible for an additional allowance towards rented accommodation or public transportation.
  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.

  • Non EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to encompass a letter from the university in which it states that the internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals will be and what tasks you will carry out during the internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
  • Non EU students in non-Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and the internship should be compulsory part of your studies. Also, you need to be able to get official approval of your university for this internship (Nuffic agreement).
