Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the planning, implementing and managing of strategic marketing communications programs for the B2B Systems and Services business segment. This role is capable of managing projects independently but is also an effective team member.

You will interact regularly with people within and outside the organization in planning, coordinating and executing events and marketing communications activities.

  • Capable of leading projects independently, and of managing the work of multiple agencies and contractors
  • Provides advanced marketing communications expertise; capable of mentoring less-experienced staff and providing work direction to others both inside and outside organization
  • Makes recommendations on marketing communications processes and choices
  • Serves as a technical resource to other marketing communications professionals in the business
  • Able to interact with market segment teams and/or business line leaders to interpret and reframe business needs into communications strategies
  • Creates new methods and procedures for events, promotions and projects
  • Develops Marketing Communications project concepts and delivery plans to support marketing and business objectives

Your Team

You will be part of the global B2B Systems and Services Marketing Communications team which is part of the global Brand Communications function. The Global Marketing Communications Manager will report to the Head of B2B Systems and Services Marketing Communications.

Job related skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of global marketing communications, brand or integrated communications experience.
  • High level of English language ability – both speaking and writing to a professional level
  • Experience of working with digital marketing and social media
  • Experience of modern B2B marketing techniques such as persona development, CDJ mapping, CRM, marketing automation, etc.
  • Experience working with always-on content marketing strategies
  • Experience of integrated marketing campaign planning, asset creation and execution
  • Budget management experience
  • Educated to degree level with evidence of post-degree career development


  • Capable of managing different projects with multiple stakeholders at the same time while staying on-time and in-budget
  • Ability to understand and drives the branding efforts of the organization
  • Prepares internal and external presentations on products and marketing projects

  • Capable of using initiative and managing own time effectively
  • Able to influence and negotiate to gain cooperation without direct line authority
  • Able to work within the concepts, guidelines and directives of the sector, business and global Philips Lighting
  • Solid understanding and interest in sales and business processes
  • Capable of working in a clear, concise manner and able to communicate effectively
  • Able to work as an effectively within the Brand Communications structure
