Your challenge:

We challenge you to effectively implement the digital program strategy for North America market in alignment with the Global Digital Marketing Strategy and roadmap. You will be responsible to have a positive impact on the user experience and capture value for Philips Lighting in NAM region throughout the customer decision journey in Professional and Consumer space. You will be challenged to create consistent user experience across relevant digital touchpoints such as owned web & ecommerce domains, customer portals, digital marketing campaigns across various channels and drive higher engagement, conversion and sales.

This role is reporting to the Global Digital Marketing organization and the role is leading the North America market with regards to Digital Marketing. You will manage a team of Digital Marketing Specialists and develop the local digital marketing program strategy and activation plan based on global digital marketing strategy and local market business plans and roadmap.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Be the liaison with Lighting Marketing Management: CMO, Head of Global Digital and NA Key leaders.
  • Collaborate with MarCom, Marketing and BGs to ensure content, programs and messaging are on strategy
  • Represent Digital space in development of Marketing Plans, providing direction on digital tactics to meet business/marketing objectives
  • Be the demand lead for NA digital marketing programs within Value space / IT; driving quarterly deliverables, overall business dependencies and priorities
  • Builds up the digital marketing competencies in NA
  • Ensures annual plans are created and aligned with the Lighting sector and BUs within the sector.
  • Reviews performance of live programs and initiates corrective actions when necessary
  • Actively promote programs to internal stakeholders and create understanding and commitment for online strategy and programs.
  • Formally manages and develops a team of staff

Key Performance Indicators

  • Online NPS and user satisfaction
  • Online traffic and conversion rates for B2B and B2C
  • Online sales on owned channels as well as etailer channels
  • Delivery against agreed upon timelines
  • Community engagement and community growth


  • Bachelor degree (Masters/MBA preferred)
  • B2B and B2C experience
  • Experience with and ability to collaborate with different functions groups (e.g. IT)
  • People management/ability to manage a team (currently eight) some of whom are remote
  • Experience in managing online programs – web
  • Strong analytical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to use data/search results and what to do with this information (e.g. Why is SEA not having the foreseen impact on B2B lead generation and what plan of action needs to be put in place to reverse the trend? Why is there a high dropout in checkout funnel on the consumer shop? How can digital marketing and digital campaigns be used to increased leads in governmental projects?)
  • Experience and ability to influence without direct authority
  • Expertise in managing digital marketing channels and digital campaigns
