Development Engineer

Your challenge

For our growing Professional Lighting Sector business in Hungary, we are currently looking for an outstanding colleague who will create, maintain and improve luminaire products and components, ensure that project and financial targets for products are met and is able to lead value engineering and improvement programs on existing products.

Your responsibilities

  • Designs, realizes, tests a (sub-) system or components fitting an overall architecture
  • Contributes to optimize the total system, fulfilling spec, cost and timing targets
  • Verifies performance according to spec
  • Ensures proper documentation of final design spec, schematics, drawings, codes, and learnings
  • Protects the design against easy copying
  • Delivers necessary input to project leader on progress, timing, cost
  • Manages own efficiency executing the work within the forseen time and budget
  • Develops according to cost targets
  • Translates the realistic application and value chain conditions into (sub-) system and component specs
  • Pro-actively reaches out to project colleagues in order to optimize the total offering

We are looking for

  • minimum 5 years of experience in developping Luminaires
  • Bachelor degree in Generalist engineer (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Product Development, etc.)
