Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to procedures and regulations applicable to the activities of the business.
  • Audit shipments to assure quality and accuracy.
  • Trouble-shoots day-to-day logistics issues exercising independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Participate in employee interviews, hiring decisions, and on request provide performance feedback to the manager on the team.
  • Provide alternate perspectives to team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
  • Provide data and reports regarding departmental and organizational performance.
  • At the direction of the manager, take on day-to-day projects of varying scope and manage them through to the finish.
  • Direct tactical (day-to-day) re-balancing of the workforce to achieve short-term (weekly/monthly) goals.
  • Assists the team with their work, and re-directs the workforce through the day to achieve goals set by the management.


Desired experience: 8+ years of experience in a position or specialization which relates to transportation, logistics, import, and export.
Education: High school or GED required. Bachelors or equivalent experience is preferred.
