As part of the Home Respiratory Care Ventilation Research and Development group, the incumbent is responsible for leading the electrical engineering related tasks for the group. This includes coordinating with cross-functional project teams in support of development efforts for new product development projects and some continuous improvement efforts.
Outcomes: The successful candidate will:
Lead the discovery, adaptation and integration of new and existing technologies and create innovative, reliable and quality new product designs for Home Respiratory Care ventilation and secretion management products.
Be a highly motivated and self-disciplined individual possessing hands-on skills.
Successfully interact with other key group members in the Software, Mechanical, Design/Drafting and Manufacturing disciplines.
Provide technical expertise in the development and design of analog and sensor signal conditioning circuits, microprocessor systems, programmable and discrete digital logic, power supply circuitry, electrical/electronic interfacing systems and demonstrate a strong general understanding of embedded software systems and functionality.
Design, analyze and test circuits and overall systems to meet project requirements, regulatory safety requirements, EMC requirements, Philips Quality Management System requirements, manufacturability requirements, and internal hazards requirements.
Conduct design reviews and successfully interact with New Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Suppliers and technology leaders to achieve project and product objectives for safety, performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, quality, and time to market.
Actively participate and present ideas, concepts, feasibility units, results and status during periodic R&D review meetings.

We are looking for
B.S in Electrical Engineering. Master of Science preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Experience utilizing a disciplined, structured and repetitive product engineering life cycle
Experience in the design of analog and digital circuitry, required.
Experience in the design and manufacture of electrical and electronic products, required.
Experience in the analysis of electronic components and systems required.
Experience with printed circuit board layout and testing techniques required.
Medical Device or regulated industry experience.
Understand EMC requirements.
Understand Safety standards.
