Job Description

Join Philips Ultrasound Platform Development Team and help with the development of innovative technology that is helping to save lives, improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of healthcare across the globe

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop module requirements, specifications, test plans and other supporting documentation
  • Work with our design partners and suppliers on delivering solutions meeting Philips' high quality and reliability standards
  • Rigorously execute tightly regulated development processes
  • Execute module verification and system integration activities
  • Lead multi-functional teams to identifying root causes of complex problems and developing creative solutions to mitigate them
  • Actively participate in design reviews, provide system level insights into detailed design implementations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • BS in EE or equivalent
  • 10+ years of hardware development experience
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex system level problems
  • Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
  • Proven experience working with vendors, suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
  • Experience in medical or other regulated industry is a plus

Professional Knowledge

Strong understanding of engineering design principles
Understanding of the HW development processes
Proven design experience with one of digital/analog/mixed-signal designs
Familiarity with microprocessor architecture, FPGAs, DDRx memories
Familiarity with best practices for signal integrity and EMC
Strong background in designs for reliability and manufacturability
Hands-on debugging experience of digital and analog circuits using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzer, signal generators
Experience with PC-based designs, monitors, USB, audio, user interfaces, touch panels are plus
Experience with low noise designs, ADC, DAC, switching power supplies is a plus
Knowledge of digital signal processing is a plus
