As Philips transitions to a solutions company, this position will be on the cutting edge of that transformation. Genomics for Infectious Disease Solutions (G4IDS) are a strategic priority for Philips, including the activation of IntelliSpace Epidemiology and Services (PIES) in the North American market. This leader will be tasked to drive the PIES funnel in NA and secure contracts from our customers, ultimately driving toward revenue and OIT goals as defined.

You are responsible for:
This is a dual role, driving both business development and sales development as part of the solution selling process with the customer. The position will be about 50/50 Business/Sales Development. The primary responsibilities of this role are to conduct customer-facing Epidemiology solution dialogues in collaboration with the account sales team and to then build PIES solutions from lead to contract. Secondarily, this expert helps triage global salesforce requests regarding epidemiology solutions.

  • Partner with G4ID marketing and SMEs to understand and mutually refine the PIES value props, offerings, solutions selling approach and targeted funnel
  • Build up a PIES funnel
  • Be the customer-facing "go-to" PIES SME for discovery meetings, co-creates, and PIES dialogues with customers
  • Participate in all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to sales close
  • Identify and successfully engage new client prospects & convert leads to PIES contracts
  • Demonstrate effective client management skills which further relationships with existing clients and ensure long-term client engagements
  • Build strong client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and continued business
  • Build awareness of PIES offerings among prospects and new clients
  • Communicate status of sales activities through G4ID Business Team
  • Coordinate sales activities with colleagues, including Philips AEs, LSP Bus Dev and sales channels as needed (PM, IGT, CI, HTS, eICU).
  • Recommend sales and marketing strategies aimed at increasing sales
  • Collaborate with LSP solutions team on capture management and delivery of the solutions.
  • Beyond PIES, triage salesforce inquiries regarding infectious disease solutions in NA and provide product alignment as needed.

You are a part of:
This role reports into the Business and requires someone with a health care delivery background, preferably in the infectious disease or infection prevention / control service Line, who understands the pressures and needs of our customers addressing Healthcare associated Infections (HAI), and the resulting health care economics. This leader will need to have strong customer communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to listen, diagnose customer needs, and then pivot to propose the appropriate key components to PIES accordingly. The role also requires extensive collaboration working closely with the G4ID Business Team, and across the global markets, with focus on the NA Solutions Team, identified sales channels, and primarily targeted AEs in 2019

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
  • Must have prior experience in health care delivery and operations, ideally in Infections disease or infection prevention
  • Great facilitation skills & ability to listen, diagnose and problem solve for customer's needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Strong foundation in business management, and healthtech
  • Collaborative team member with ability to work across many internal stakeholders
  • Ability to think creatively, problem solver, and negotiator
  • Driven sales person motivated to close engagements that meet customer needs
  • 50-75% Travel
