Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits competence in design controls and approaches for software system
  • Applies level of rigor in the design and development of software under the direction of a more senior software engineer
  • Designs and executes software unit and system testing under the direction of a more senior software engineer
  • Able to identify CTQ’s & KPIV’s for assigned small scale design responsibilities. Under supervision of Senior Level Engineer conducts appropriate Capability Analysis to assess compliance to specifications. Under supervision of Senior Level Engineer. Able to design experiments for assessing capability (DOE).
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of at least one software product line.
  • Designs, develops, and documents small to moderate scale software features or systems of low to moderate complexity
  • Builds, tests, and documents the designs of more senior software engineers.
  • Participates on design teams for small to moderate scale software features or systems of low to moderate complexity
  • Builds, tests, and documents the designs of more senior software engineers.
  • Develops specifications, design descriptions, and verification plans for small to moderate scale software features or systems of low to moderate complexity per a prescribed document layout and topology, and/or contributes to larger design efforts
  • Develops documentation under the direction of a more senior software engineer
  • Works under the direction of a more senior software engineer. Consistently demonstrates personal leadership

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mathematics with 2+ years of experience in software development for medical devices
  • Demonstrates good organizational and interpersonal skills working in a cross-functional, regulated environment.
  • Demonstrates good analytical skills.
  • Builds productive working relationships. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of technical components including equipment, concepts and procedures; resolves issues within defined practices and procedures
  • Works on small to moderate scale software features or systems of low to moderate complexity.
  • Demonstrates judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of product lines.
  • Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Organizes and prioritizes workflow in order to meet established time frames and schedules.
  • Assimilates techniques from scientific literature.
  • Develops expertise in discipline and domain.
  • Develops expertise with UML and C++. Demonstrates increased expertise with software engineering tools such as code review applications, configuration management applications, and integrated development environments.
  • Develops familiarity with cardiology catheterization procedures, tools, and terminology

We are looking for

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mathematics and 15+ years working experience in similar field

Experience

  • Technically responsible for design, development, unit testing, debugging and delivery of low level interfaces for disposables
  • Fix issues in production line Working with R&D / manufacturing to provide testing tools to test disposables
  • Responsible for Technical Communication to internal and external stakeholders Ability to work independently and ability to define the solution
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle including requirements, architecture and design, code development, and verification
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, multi-threaded applications
  • Experience developing C++ applications using Visual Studio

  • Through understanding of C++ and low level device interface programming
