Software Development Engineer – Fitchburg, WI (Philips HealthTech)

As part of our company you will be responsible for working closely with management and team leadership to identify issues and promote the change necessary to address them. You will also actively participate in the work needed to consistently improve, grow, and evolve the results of the entire staff.
Key areas of responsibilities (KARS) for this role include:
- Willingly collaborate with internal and external resources to acquire technical or customer knowledge, or system related information required to design, develop, and test software deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with system design engineers, requirement engineers and software development team members
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members regarding best design practices, improvement in code quality and unit testing
- Create and/or review design documents and architectural diagrams
The software development team Includes software architects and developers who are responsible for delivering high quality feature releases for the existing Pinnacle product as well as architecting and designing the next generation systems on modern platforms. The team follows Scrum agile development practices and is in the process of adapting Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) for future development.

Specific skill requirements for this role include:
- M.S in CS/EE or B.S plus experience in related field
- 8-10 years of relative experience
- Strong Object oriented design skills, Algorithms
- Linux /Unix/Windows
- C/C++, Java
- Agile software development methodologies
- GUI / QT/Eclipse
- Medical devices / Regulated development environment
