Senior Software Engineer

Within Philips Innovation Services (PInS), we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer who will work together with existing teams in designing and implementing applications for current and future Philips products, and who will help guide software development teams during all the development phases.
As a Senior Software Engineer your responsibilities include:
- Setting-up and maintaining the development and tests pipeline
- Designing and implementing application and cloud-based software
- Delivering input in the planning process and defining and maintaining the backlog
- Drawing up a personal schedule and reporting on progress in a structured and methodical way, keeping the costs of the activities in line with the calculated budget
- Ensuring that there is proper documentation for the developed software

In this role you will report directly into the Philips Innovation Services US Hub Site Manager based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Application Software group based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Philips Innovation Services draws upon a huge range of resources and know-how to support our customers in bringing their innovations to market, as fast and as efficiently as possible. Our pragmatic technology experts and consultants benefit from decades of experience supporting customers in Philips Businesses, Philips Research and hundreds of companies outside Philips. Each day brings new challenges as we work in many different projects.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- You have a BS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in software product development
- Strong technical skills in SW development, HW/SW interfacing, and debugging
- Very good knowledge of and experience with C++
- Experience with various build and test tools
- Affinity with and experience in Agile software development
- Experience with connectivity, interoperability, AI implementations, and data management
- Experience in medical regulated environments is preferred
- Ability to travel 25%
