Job Description


This position will be part of R2R Accounting Operations reporting to the NAM Commercial Lead and will work closely with the Revenue Controller – Technical Accounting and Revenue Controller, Operations, as well as interact with LSP Project Managers, Business Partners, OM, LSP Reporting Team, TAO, FP&A and our internal & external auditors, to ensure revenue is properly recognized and reported. This position will focus on Philips complex revenue deals.


Work with Sales and Technical Revenue Accounting to develop deal structures which accomplish customer objectives while yielding desired economics and accounting outcomes for Philips

Account for revenue in compliance with new & existing IFRS revenue standards & Company policies, including:

  • Preparing necessary accounting models (projected revenues, OIT, expected manual journal entries, fair value allocations), including set up in SAP, as applicable
  • Working closely with market LSP project manager, LSP business controller/BP, Philips Capital, CFC manager to timely determine project & contract changes and subsequently update the underlying accounting model

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Prepare and/or review account reconciliations related to deferrals and other revenue-related analysis

Design, manage and execute certain key revenue controls

Provide Senior Management with financial reporting information and operational support

Streamlines existing processes and recommends value-adding changes

Coordinate internal & external audit activities and audit preparation

Work collaboratively with a cross functional team to support M&A activities and subsequent integration efforts


Number of Years of Work Experience: 5-10 years

Required Skills:

Experience with revenue general ledger accounting & technical revenue standards (IFRS and SEC Regulations)

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Highly motivated, reliable and able to work independently

Ability to present data in a comprehensive and articulate manner

Ability to communicate with Director-level Business Partners and cross-functional staff

Excellent attention to detail

Strong SAP & EXCEL experience

Experience in working with virtual teams and multiple stakeholders


Accounting Degree

CPA preferred
