The AARC is seeking a research scientist who will be working with a group of research scientists in research and development of advanced algorithms in biological data analysis.
You are responsible for
As a Research Scientist you should be skilled in digital signal processing, cardiac electrophysiology, and software design and development. You might create, analyze, and optimize new biological signal processing algorithms. You will work with other engineering groups and with Marketing to manage the transition of research work into development, through documentation, discussion, presentation, creation of software, test plans, test tools, etc. You must work well both as a member of a team and independently.
- Develop and implement novel signal processing algorithms applied to ECG and other biological signals
- Perform data analysis, algorithm validation, and performance evaluation
- Develop software in C/C++ and Matlab
- Provide algorithm-related customer support
- Present in scientific conferences and publish in scientific journals
- Develop, configure, document, and troubleshoot complex algorithms and programs
- Some local and international travel
You are a part of
The Advanced Algorithm Research Center (AARC), Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions, of Philips Healthtech has the mission to transform patient data into clinical information to help improve and save lives. This position is based in Andover, MA and you will report to the Director of Algorithm Research for Philips Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions (PCMS).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field required
- Expertise in digital signal processing and pattern recognition
- Experience implementing ECG or other biological data analysis using C/C++ and MATLAB
- Knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology is a plus
- Ability to publish scientific papers and present in scientific conferences
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
