Your Challenge:

The Senior Regional Manager is responsible for leading a team of approx. 10 or more Field Sales Representatives within an assigned geography. Territory includes Georgia and Florida. The primary goal of this position is to deliver results through effective coaching, management and mentoring. The Senior Regional Manager is responsible for all aspects of rep management including hiring, on-boarding, development, performance management and replacement.


  • Coaching and leading a field-based sales team
  • Achieving established revenue growth expectations for sales territories within assigned region
  • Executing all corporate sales strategy and tactics within assigned region
  • Establishing clear expectations, measuring results and holding team accountable for performance
  • Manage/communicate sales activity & key performance indicator activity
  • Build a high performing sales team based on strong interpersonal connections and collaboration
  • Communicates with team members via one on one and weekly regional calls
  • Working in the field with representatives for 1-3 days per week
  • Coaches team providing frequent verbal and written feedback regarding performance as well as observed strengths and areas for improvement
  • Establishing mutually beneficial relationships with corporate account key decision-makers and buyers
  • Cultivate/maintain relationships with key opinion leaders throughout region to promote the use of Philips Sonicare, Philips Zoom and Philips Oral Hygiene products to corporate accounts, dental offices, dental schools and professional associations
  • Recruit, interview, hire & train new Field Sales Representatives
  • Ensuring that the right people are staffed in positions based on skill sets and experience
  • Manage regional travel & entertainment expenses
  • Executes performance improvement plans when necessary
  • Coaches to insights generated by "whitening specialist" team
  • Creating and maintaining a positive and engaged team atmosphere
  • Field-based position with manager working primarily out of their home
  • Instills a passion for success and consistently demonstrates a positive "can do" attitude

  • Delivers essential product, territory management and clinical content during new hire classroom training
  • Analyzes region and territory business to identify growth opportunities and trends
  • Interfaces with various departments throughout the organization including Customer Service, Inside Sales, Training, Finance, Sales Planning and Marketing
  • Coordinate national & local trade show staffing & logistics
  • Prepares annual performance evaluations for each team member
  • Demonstrates good judgment and leads by example
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, MapPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of sales principles, methods and techniques

  • Bachelors degree in business, science, marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful outside sales experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical/medical/dental sales management preferred
  • Corporate or National Account sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Medical/Dental background preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership success in the military and/or a Pharmaceutical/Medical/Biotech company
  • Experience managing expense budgets
  • Must reside within the region (Relocation required for non residents)
  • Office environment; requiring sitting and standing
  • Overnight travel is required up to 70%
