In this role, you will be challenged to help create, plan and then oversee/execute on the programs/projects aligned with our product and technology roadmaps, operating within an inspiring technology and product development environment, with a heavy emphasis on cross-functional team collaboration.

You are responsible for
End-to-End leading of a project to develop a new or updated product. Leadership extends from the initial start until the introduction in the Market, or internal delivery, by gaining agreements on and achieving project scope and objectives while balancing schedule, cost, quality, requirements and keeping abreast of developments in project management tools and processes as well as technical domain, e.g. agile software development. Manages projects ensuring execution is in line with project guidelines and directives.

  • Define, outline and execute the programs/projects assigned and aligned with the product roadmap or product improvement plans.
  • Perform program/project detailed planning, defining resource requirements, content/scoping, schedule, materials expense and capital expense needs for Waterfall-based projects, and merging this with Epics, Features & Stories that are delivered during Sprints and Project Increments in our hybrid Agile model.
  • Programs/projects business case creation and analyses.
  • Organizes, inspires and delivers the projects in portfolio with the cross-functional core team by developing powerful operating mechanism for program/project execution.
  • Define and drive improvements to the product realization process, embracing Lean concepts to realize efficiencies and breakthrough performance.
  • Tracking and reporting on programs/project status.
  • Individually owns one or more programs/projects, within the PMO function.

You are a part of
At Philips Imaging Components, we develop and produce x-ray Generators, x-ray Tubes, x-ray Grids, x-ray Detectors, MR Superconducting Magnets, and MR Receive Coils used in applications of medical diagnostic imaging. We seek a strong project manager with a technology background to be a member of our Program Management Office (PMO).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics or like technical discipline.
  • Experience in technical complex-product design/development with demonstrated increased levels of accomplishment and responsibility.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizing, communication and execution skills.
  • Experience in program/project management of a significant and complex nature is a plus, both in a technical context as well as in scale, scope and impact.
  • Background/experience in superconductivity and its application in commercial or large-scale research products is a plus.
  • Direct design or project lead experience in MRI systems or magnet developments is desired.
