Come join us at Philips, a health technology company as a Design Quality Assurance Engineer with our Patient Monitoring (PM) team in Andover, MA.

You will be part of a cross-functional team of Quality Engineers, Design Developers, and Project Managers through the entire life cycle of product portfolio. In your role you will ensure that our way of working and documentation meets all the necessary legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally this role is a big contributor for providing world-class quality to our customers all around the world.

You are responsible for

Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Review design inputs (specifications) and design outputs (reports, prints, etc.) to assure that appropriate design requirements are specified and to evaluate/confirm quality requirements prior to successful design transfer. Track design quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts while generating Design deliverables within Design Control Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Developers, Project Managers and Quality Engineers) - Work closely with Product Development, the project team, and Sr. Quality Engineers or QA Manager to ensure that the design was developed in accordance with the approved project plan and the Design Control Process for both new design and changes to released product. Coordinate with the development of essential design control deliverables including, but not limited to design verification, design validation, design reviews, phase reviews, and product release authorization for distribution of product.

You will report directly to the Director, Solution Robustness in Philips Patient Monitoring (PM) Business Unit. The PM team is part of Philips Patient Care & Monitoring Solutions (PCMS) division. Your team will be part of a team owning (Design History File) review process and guidance documents. This position is based in Andover, MA. We are searching for passionate and quality oriented Engineer to join us as we strengthen our product quality and compliance to expand our services and solutions, and bring game changing technology to market.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Relevant BA degree required
  • Education/Experience in the quality, compliance or regulatory area, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with colleagues and users
  • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects in generating Design Inputs and Design Outputs
  • Able to support multiple development projects at a given time
  • Create compliance awareness as determined within the development teams
  • Experience in an international environment a plus

Additional: Willingness and ability to spend the first 2 months in Germany for training
