Physical Distribution Manager

In this role, you have the opportunity to

You are responsible for

  • Manages internal and external Logistics resources for Manages interna transportation/shipping activities, receiving/warehousing activities, and all compliance activities (import, export, DG, Supply Chain Security).
  • Accountable for meeting/exceeding defined performance targets to achieve Site Operations objectives, including --- on-time shipments, defect-free shipments, compliant shipments, cost-savings and other financially focused goals, audit compliance, and personnel management requirements. I
  • ncremental objectives and expectations will be defined as the business requirements change.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline (Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management) with 5+ years of related experience
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Experience in a supervisor/manager role with multiple direct reports (people management skills and leadership skills).
  • Experience/competence in regard to WH management principles (systems, requirements, processes)
  • Experience/competence in regard to Transportation management principles (systems, requirements, processes, industry suppliers)
  • Experience/competence with regard to understanding, managing and meeting compliance requirements (quality-systems, import/export, DG, Supply Chain Security, etc.)
  • Experience/competence with regard to successful completion of internal and external audits
  • Experience/competence in departmental budgeting and managing expenses to target.
  • Experience/competence in developing and implementing cost-savings projects and initiatives, including productivity-improvement focused programs.
  • Experience/competence with Project Management, including cross-functional project management.
  • PC-application skills
  • SAP experience
  • Metric/KPI management experience
  • Lean experience
  • Negotiation experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
