Role Summary:
As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for developing and executing global and regional procurement strategies for supporting Philips APAC Heath Systems business in the market and in the countries. Leading region wide strategic initiatives for acquisition of 3rd party products and services which help Philips Health Systems to deliver health solutions to our customers. Ensuring collaboration with bid teams, sales, projects and operations teams drive security of supply, quality, sustainability compliance with company policies and commercial compliance. Also, responsible for developing strategies to leverage Philips spend through aggregation of 3rd party products and services.
Job Responsibilities:
Procurement Lead for Large Scale Projects: As a lead for market solutions and services you would need to be embedded and integrated with the Bid Management teams and Solution teams for large scale projects to provide 3rd party solutions as a part of the customer solutions enabling the commercial offers of Philips Health to be most competitive.
Demand Forecast & Management: Optimizing on the sales funnel identify the volume of 3rd party requirements forecasted. Create demand signals and leverage volumes and value across the region for the most competitive value for Philips.
Execution of Category Strategy: Use the demand signals from the sales funnel to liaise with the respective category managers to design, create and execute global and regional category strategies.
Compliance Management: Implement procurement policies, procedures, processes and systems. Train business on relevant policies, procedures and systems. Support/ensure that systems and processes are in place to support all audit requirements regarding "purchase to pay". Ensure data accuracy in systems by driving maintenance discipline.
Stakeholder management: Represent the Services & Solutions (S&S) purchasing function with regional solution center and key site stakeholders and ensure they receive accurate and user-friendly information as requested.
Coordinate global IMS purchasing initiatives within the region: Deploy global sourcing strategies and framework agreements, ensuring contract compliance. Measure supplier performance and feed information back to Category Managers. Make local market analyses, identify local suppliers, alternative products or services and communicate market intelligence to Category Managers.
Develop and manage regional/site sourcing activities and suppliers: Manage regional suppliers and select, in coordination with category managers, some of the regional/local suppliers. Analyze regional and site IMS spend to identify and prioritize sourcing initiatives. Develop purchasing strategies for regionally/site managed materials or services. Resolve supplier conflicts. Escalate to Category Managers supplier conflicts which affect key supplier relationships. Support supplier rationalization ensuring the right commercial priorities are applied. Ensure security of supply, quality compliance and commercial compliance. Provide input to budgeting process.
Job Requirements:
10 - 15 years of experience in customer oriented projects
Deep knowledge of sales processes
Strong stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in contract negotiations
Ability to translate supply solutions / strategies in practical implementation
Ability to pro-actively innovate and find opportunities for procurement to add value to the overall Philips business
Strategic thinking and insight
Expertise in project procurement
Addresses business procurement needs with focus on total cost of ownership
Evaluates supply trends and market developments and aligns supply based strategy with needs of business
Able to lead complex or multi business procurement projects
