Your challenge

The successful candidate will have direct responsibility of Assemblers, Group Leaders and Manufacturing Technicians as well as the production and material management processes of several product lines in order to satisfy customer demand.

2nd shift:

Your responsibilities

This person will be directly responsible for coordinating and monitoring the work on the production floor as directed by work center management. This person will accomplish tasks through

strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational and planning abilities, and effective communications with all levels of employees.

Direct supervision of Assemblers, Group Leaders, Manufacturing Technicians. Production activities include high volume manual, semi-automated and automated electro-mechanical assembly, precision mechanical assembly testing and packaging. Implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the production floor including 6S, Visual Management, synchronous flow manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen. Coordination with QC Technicians, Buyers, Planner, Product Engineers and Process Engineers as their activities impact the team’s area of responsibility. Management of continuous improvement initiatives Management of Target Inventory Levels. Development and implementation of staffing plan and staffing decisions. Daily sequencing of production lines to meet target inventory strategies. Management of and reporting on the following metrics:

Efficiency and throughput

WIP inventory levels

Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale

Attendance and Versatility

Line Yield (production controlled)


Product Costs

Machining capacity

Responsible to ensure effective OTJ training and cross training for direct associates

Lead quality improvement teams to identify corrective and preventative actions Foster and develop empowered workforce to drive decision making to the process associate level.

You will be part of a two person supervisory team on the 2nd shift reporting into a Senior Manager of Manufacturing at Philips.

We are looking for

Bachelor’s degree preferred or.Associates degree in business or technical field related to manufacturing or equivalent work experience in electro-mechanical assembly.

Three plus years of Supervisory experience in a medical manufacturing environment preferred or other mechanical focused environment preferred

Ability to problem solve

A diversified employment history in several of the following positions is preferred: Manufacturing Engineer, Production Supervisor, Master Scheduler, Purchasing Agent, or Quality Control Supervisor. Demonstrated project management experience, particularly in the area of taking the lead role in solving multi-disciplinary operational issues.

Experience working in a regulated environment, preferred such as ISO.

This position will require the ability to sit and walk on a continuous basis. Ability to use computer, phone, and standard office equipment. May rarely require lifting items up to 35 lbs.
