Manufacturing Lead, Philips Healthcare, (Aurora, IL.)

Summary Description:

This position manages the day to day planning, operation and problem solving to ensure that Exhaust and Seasoning departments meet their departmental goals. This position is responsible for 1st shift production activities and transfer of responsibility to 2nd shift to ensure a seamless operation flow.

  • Key Areas of Responsibility: Responsible for Department KPI
  • Responsible for quality of product and process execution via released procedures, deviations and engineering work orders.
  • 6 S Compliance
  • TEDS Compliant
  • Monitor Calibration of equipment, fixtures, and tools and take appropriate actions
  • Monitor work performance to ensure procedures and safety regulations are followed
  • Gather information for all first shift employees performance reviews and have direct input on performance evaluation
  • Responsible for maintaining employee time records, sick time, flex time and approving/disapproving vacation requests
  • Assist in the development of new processes, equipment and test guidance
  • Assist in implementing new processes and metrics as they are developed
  • All procedure workbooks must be compliant
  • Assist PSE in performing Procedure Review
  • Perform Engineering Review disposition as required
  • Enforce Safety Procedures, and drive for corrective/preventive actions to improve personnel safety
  • Additional responsibilities as detailed by manager

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Education 3-5 years’ experience with High Voltage and Vacuum processes 1-2 years’ experience in working in a team environment Ability to give direction to peers Effective use of Microsoft Office tool Must be able to read and write English and follow written procedures Perform all operations in assigned work centers Able to make decisions Lead by example Effective problem solver Ability to lift 30lbs. Follow safety rules and regulations
