Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to develop a supplier quality strategy in line with supply management and business strategy with a medium to long term sight line.



Your responsibilities



  • Supplier Quality Leader to cover all Health & Wellness Sites ( Bothell, Ontario, China, HK) driving full Production Part Quality Management deployment but also organize one consistent way of working



  • Lean daily management, critical metric reporting, H&W Q&R Hoshin element on Supplier Quality



  • Drives technical improvement via APQP, staff competence and skills, compliance to MD/Pharma requirements.

  • This position will coordinate all SQE and SQA teams supporting H&W



  • Performs quality audits, re-audits and performance management at suppliers.



  • Deploys and follows-up on the Supplier Quality Related important metrics towards the supplier and SQE's.



  • Recommends strategic directions, policies and establishes quality management directives.



  • Develop multiple supplier relations in order to involve key suppliers as early as possible.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience



    • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent experience



    • Current certification with Recognized Accreditation body (i.e., RAB-QSA/IRCA) or successful completion of ASC certification as a CQE and CQA or Certified Biomed Auditor or successful completion of a recognized Lead Auditor course.



    • 12+ years total industry experience with 10+ years of related experience in a medical device or regulated industry



    • Working knowledge of appropriate global medical device regulation, requirements and standards such as 21 CFR Parts 803, 806 , and 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14791, and European Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC), Canadian Medical Device Regulations (SOR/98-282), Japanese MHLW Ordinance 169, and ISO 9001



    • Well versed in APQP



    • Authority Level Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques in Purchasing, Operations and SQ



    • 7+ years of management experience
