Key areas of responsibilities for this role include:
- Automating build, test, deployment and monitoring processes to work reliably at scale.
- Fine-tuning of service performance at the software, network, and hardware layers.
- Building tools to audit and measure the reliability of our services.
- Working with metrics-based load projections to cope with increasing growth demand.
- Achieving and maintaining various certifications related to our business.
- Managing the health of multiple distributed specialized server clusters and the software stacks that run on them.
- Manage cross-functional requirements working with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments.
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, ISO, NIST-800 etc.

Specific skill requirements for this role include:
- BS Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with large-scale 24/7 production environments
- Solid understanding of System operations development for scalable, secure cloud architecture based on AWS components like S3, Hadoop, Hive, Elastic beanstalk, IoT, EC2, Security Groups, ELB, VPC, CloudTrail and CloudWatch.
- Experience with threat and intrusion detection tools like AWS GuardDuty.
- Nice to have Familiarity with Relational & NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL RDS) is a plus.
- Experience with configuring cloud monitoring tools like DataDog, New Relic.
- Experience with continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and concepts (Jenkins or Bamboo).
- Experience with Infrastructure automation tools 'Infrastructure as code' (CloudFormation, AWS CLI).
- Understanding of network logical topology and knowledge of network technologies such as load balancers and DNS.
- Experience with secure system configuration and security principles .
- Understanding of design patterns and practical experience in applying those patterns to address fundamental challenges in large scale, mission critical system development and influencing software engineering best practices within your team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to produce high quality work independently and work well in a team.
- Must have: Scripting abilities (Shell, Python), basic Java, JSON
- Java Build: Maven
- Microsoft TFS

- Exposure, knowledge and Experience with Azure cloud services and environment
