Job Description

As a Change Management Specialist for Philips IGT-Devices, you will establish lean Document Control (DC) practices for the activities in scope (tools including Document Management Systems, processes, competency and process performance).

  • PLM Windchill Project: Philips Integration Project

Key areas of responsibilities (KARS) for this role include:

  • Lead and support lower level Document Control Specialists
  • Ensure all controlled Quality documents are maintained to the latest issue, and that these documents are made available at all locations where operations essential to the effective functioning of the Quality Management System are performed
  • Ensure that all obsolete documents shall be withdrawn if retained for record purposes
  • Control & maintain the document management system for issuance recording / filing, tracking, retrieval of documents like procedures, plans, QA/QC records, Specifications and related documents
  • Lead and support (local) authors of controlled documents to be lean, accessible, easy to maintain and according to the agreed look and feel

Location: Preferably in Rancho Cordova, CA but will consider San Diego, CA

Specific skill requirements for this role include:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 6 Sigma/ LEAN certification preferred
  • 3 to 5 years related experience in change control and/or document control field
  • Familiarity with Document Management System tools
  • Experience running effective process improvement projects
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PLM Windchill software experience
  • Engineering background
  • Prior group or team leadership experience
  • Procedural or Technical writing experience
  • Understanding of modeling tools
  • Awareness of Project Management Institute standards.
