Salesforce Quality Engineer

Phase One is seeking a Salesforce Quality Engineer to work closely with Product Managers and Senior Developers to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce requirements. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of Salesforce.com including configuration, customization and implementation of applications. In addition, this role will support acceptance criteria definition, and implement software quality assurance and user acceptance testing functions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements
  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices as well as business needs
  • Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in SFDC application
  • Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions
  • Perform ongoing Salesforce administration (create accounts / profiles, defining fields, updating layouts, reports, dashboards etc.) and development
  • Ability to support Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, automated approvals
  • Handle numerous projects/priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
  • Monitor Salesforce.com usage for compliance
  • Maintain security for Salesforce.com data
  • Interface with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products
  • Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff
  • Research and keep current on force.com technologies and communicates trends and future needs from a business perspective
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications
  • Automated Acceptance Test Script Authoring: Support assigned Scrum Team in developing test cases and test scripts (automated and manual), based on acceptance criteria, in support of test driven development
  • Apply quality control/quality assurance management procedures, including implementing a program of reporting, tracking and analyzing key metrics, monitoring quality procedures and participating in software reviews and testing
  • Define test objectives, test plans, and execute test cases to ensure that software products meet design specifications and quality requirements
  • Create test data and test scenarios
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify corrective actions according to organization’s quality process
  • Determine and apply the latest commercial products and procedures for identifying software errors and evaluating software quality and efficiency
  • Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with client
  • Participate and engage in all team meetings
  • Document best practices and operational procedures

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of industry experience architecting, configuring and developing apps within Salesforce
  • Must have historical and proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services
  • Salesforce certifications ideal
  • Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce.com
  • Experience writing test classes for Salesforce Apex/Custom Classes
  • Experience with automated test suite creation and execution
  • Experience with testing Web Services and API’s
  • Fluent and experienced in Agile/Scrum and in supporting Agile efforts
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines
  • Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently, and can produce high quality technical documentation and analysis
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Ability to pass government background investigations
