What You'll Do

We seek a strategic, analytical & change-centric leader, with a proven track record of driving change at pace and scale across organizations, to build and lead this new team. You will play a critical hybrid operator-strategist-transformation role and lead an expansive interdisciplinary team, united in the mission of steering the near- & long-term success of the function and the team. Your team will interface and partner with a broad set of stakeholders on a daily basis across the US and globally, including US, HQ, Global Brand Executive Teams, Corporate Strategy and M&A, Corporate Venture Capital, Operations, Sales & Customer Teams, Distributor Organizations, Communications, HR, and PMO. You will be a key member of the eCommerce Leadership Team and play a critical role in molding the DNA of this new organization. Up to ~20% US and/or international travel (pending global pandemic outlook).

The Role

  • Strategy: Build & oversee a team designed to continuously evolve and steer the near- & long-term roadmap of the eComm org
    • Performance Management: Lead on-going performance reviews with PRUSA and Global Executive Committee
    • Cross-functional Projects: Lead / co-lead cross-functional projects within the team to address both timely strategic questions and on-going new org capabilities as the market shifts (e.g., DTC, new channels)
    • Thought Leadership: Provide proactive thought partnership to the eCommerce Leadership Team and the broader organization, including our US, HQ, and Global Brand Executive Committee and Customer Leadership, on a range of near- & long-term topics
    • Investments: Partner with our HQ and US M&A and/or corporate venture capital teams in digital commerce & tech due diligences, leading where relevant the US business rationales
  • Finance: Build & oversee a new finance capability (reporting, accounting, performance) and wire into the core business
    • Strategic Planning: Lead strategic planning on behalf of the team, creating and evolving a set of enabling systems, process & tools for the team and broader finance organization
    • Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead forecasting & budgeting, in partnership with the respective eCommerce channel Directors and the broader community of PRUSA Commercial & Portfolio Finance Directors
    • P&L: Set up a shadow eComm P&L (all customers) in partnership with the broader PRUSA finance leadership team and HQ eCommerce teams
  • Operations: Evolve & wire an existing operations capability, encompassing 3 operations areas
    • Digital Shelf Ops: Build, deploy & evolve systems to maintain a best-in-class digital shelf for all B2C, B2B, and Emerging Channels
    • Commercial Ops: Build, deploy & evolve systems to integrate eComm operational reporting to overall PRUSA operational reporting and partner with our commercial and technical BI teams to evolve over time
    • S&OP: Deploy & continuously evolve systems and processes to maximize physical product availability, for key eCommerce SKUs, across the relevant eCommerce account universe
  • Change Management: Set up a dedicated Change capability to ensure the on-going experience, success, and embedding of the eComm team and capability, in partnership with PRUSA's change ecosystem (communications, HR, PMO, culture)
    • Communications: Design and deploy tools, systems & approaches, in partnership with the PRUSA Communications Team, to drive effective communications with the full digital commerce ecosystem (customers, distributors, PRUSA functions, HQ digital & eComm team, global brand commerce teams, and where relevant press)
    • Learning & Development: Design & deploy dedicated systems (e.g., trainings and coaching, on-going engagement) for the eComm team and broader PRUSA organization to drive fit for purpose upskilling. Partner with PRUSA and HQ Digital, eComm and learning teams to design and leverage shared approaches
    • Program & Project Management: Design systems to drive on-going initiative road mapping, prioritization, connectivity, and execution at pace to enable frictionless collaboration between the eComm and with the broader Pernod Ricard ecosystem. Partner with PRUSA's PMO Team to design and leverage shared tools where relevant
    • Culture: Support the team in shaping and continuously evolving a 'fit for purpose' hybrid start-up & corporate culture and drive on-going team and organizational engagement (e.g., connectivity; mentorship; off-sites)

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of 8+ Senior Managers, Managers, and Analysts
  • Engage and manage senior stakeholders across PRUSA and the global organization
  • Serve as a highly visible internal eCommerce change enabler to the change management community, finance, transformation, sales, and marketing organization

Culture Cultivation

  • Foster a data-first mindset with the broader eComm BU
  • Shape the team culture and continuously ensure we navigate the right balance of being integrated vs. incubated
  • Initiate and lead and agenda for a key capability area for the team (e.g., Culture, Recruiting, Learning, etc.)

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's Degree - all backgrounds. MBA preferred
  • 10+ years' experience, with increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years managing & mentoring cross-functional teams with diverse skill sets. Strong experience and passion for building new teams and leading change
