Senior Project Manager
NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
EMPLOYER: PerkinElmer Informatics, Inc.
Responsible for managing implementation projects for PerkinElmer Informatics software products and projects related to post-deployment consulting services using dispersed and shared resources for key customer accounts across North America and Europe. Is the single point of contact from PerkinElmer for the purpose of managing the technical and business communication with internal and customer stakeholders. Responsible for project planning, resourcing, tracking, execution, problem resolution, and closure. Identifies key risks in the project and takes the appropriate actions to reduce risk and escalate issues as required to ensure business success. Prepares and maintains project metrics for resource productivity and effort variance to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Prepares and presents project progress data related to milestone achievements, task deliveries, invoicing, scope maintenance, issue management, and budget status to project stakeholders as contractually defined by the project order.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Informatics, Business Management, Computer Science, or the Life Sciences and five (5) years of experience managing or delivering complex enterprise applications from inception through completion. Will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience managing or delivering complex enterprise applications from inception through completion in lieu of a Bachelors degree and five (5) years of experience. Requires certification in one or more project management or business quality best practice methodologies (PMI, PMP, Scrum, High Maturity, CSPE, CSPM, Six Sigma). Experience specified must include: Two (2) years managing projects using PMI, PRINCE2, Agile or other similar methodologies; three (3) years experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project; three (3) years experience in the use and configuration of data analysis tools such as SSRS or Tibco Spotfire; and three (3) years experience in the use of enterprise resource management tools such as CRM, NetSuite, or Digite.
40 hours/week $108,945.00 / year
