Scientific Services Engineer Onsite

  • Plan and carry out routine performance maintenance, qualifications, emergency repairs and general technical support for users
  • Plan and deliver technology/software upgrades
  • Provide open access training and guidance to internal customer to ensure compliancy and safe operations of the equipment
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies and procedures
  • Effectively manage own dispatch, customer calls, administration and inventory
  • Follow HSE, Quality and Code of Conduct with diligence and ensure that HSE requirements of customer sites are adhered to
  • On-site spare management and optimizations
  • Liaise with customer's staff with regards to the services required for efficient installation, maintenance, moves and relocations and support of items of instrumentations
  • Work effectively across the matrix structure of the business and within the on-site service team
  • Demonstrate effective and efficient fault finding in the area of chemistry applications and electro-mechanical products

Job Requirements :

  • Master degree in science related discipline or highly demonstrable experience in LC/MS
  • Experienced engineer with strong expertise in the area of analytical and preparative chromatography
  • Understanding of HPLC, UPLC, MS and of GMP/GLP requirements
  • Knowledge of Masslynx and communication of complex instrument configurations
  • Fluent in Dutch. Good English language skills required
  • Methodical in approach with excellent organization skills and eye for detail
  • Able to work against tight deadlines in a high demanding, fast moving and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision
