Event Strategy Manager

  • Champion PerkinElmer's overall events strategy and reputation by supporting marketing colleagues within our businesses in execution of customer facing events (tradeshows, conferences, customer seminars)
  • Support execution of major PerkinElmer events and trade shows
  • Manage processes, systems and tools that ensure smooth and seamless event execution

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Ensure brand compliance throughout PerkinElmer's global events presence
  • Plan and direct as needed tradeshow and event review meetings among PerkinElmer businesses
  • Collaborate with business partners to proactively problem solve event operational issues
  • Work with business partners on continuous improvement to optimize tools, resources and processes

Project Management

  • Lead new initiatives related to PerkinElmer's events design, booth properties and corporate messaging
  • Provide event logistics, marketing, and strategy support for major events, working with event marketing colleagues within the businesses
  • Maintain and update (either by self or in collaboration with Marketing Communications) tradeshow operations best practices, processes and tools. Processes include, but not limited to:
  • Web calendar updates & maintenance
  • Graphics review
  • Shipping
  • Booth property ordering
  • Inventory management
  • Develop a tiering system for all company events for further standardization and alignment
  • Lead process to collaboratively develop event scorecards and event metrics reporting
  • Lead sourcing, maintenance and oversight of global trade show/event marketing vendors

Job Requirements :

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of event management and Marketing/strategy experience in a global corporation
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Strong team player with effective verbal and written communication skills; a self-starter, highly motivated and the ability to take initiative
  • Must have professional maturity, integrity, discipline, and a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organization skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities, strong follow-through, excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience with budgets a plus
