Job Title: R&D Manager, Global Program Management

Duties: Manage identification, design and execution of transformational programs that deliver speed and/or cost savings as well as overall management of R&D Quality and Compliance operational efficiency programs. Understand product development cycles and specification creation steps, implement agility opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing systems. Guide subject experts when they need detailed inputs about product, process and ingredients. Drive efficiency and effectiveness of R&D Quality and Compliance Productivity agenda through regular interfaces with the Measurement Science, Food Safety, Regulatory and Consumer Insight leaders. Use R&D Strategy and Compliance experience to translate strategy plans into projects that deliver efficiency. Manage continuity of R&D Quality and Compliance plans and alignment of resources by creating bigger picture of efficiency initiatives within cross-functional teams. Provide solid, fact based, recommendations and excellent project leadership/delivery. Build future efficiency/productivity pipeline by developing best in class reporting solutions.
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Food Science, Food Engineering, Agricultural Economics or related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have eight (8) years of experience working with cross functional teams including R&D, Quality and Compliance, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Consumer Insight and Marketing within the CPG industry. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: defining scope of the project, chartering, leading and influencing teams executing the project; and cost accounting, including budget and P&L. Must have five (5) years of experience with: project management within the CPG industry; developing, scaling up and commercialization of food and beverage new products innovation; and translating the science perspectives of initiatives into business opportunities. Must have two (2) years of experience with R&D strategy and portfolio management, providing recommendations based on data and facts. Travel required up to 10% of the time.
