Currently we are looking for our next: LATAM Finance Analyst

Which is the main objective of this role?

  • The role works in close partnership with the Latin America Senior Finance Manager to Provide the regional leadership team with solid financial forecasting and commercial finance support to deliver robust Financial input. The role will also become the link point in to the business to ensure close alignment from Strategic Business Planning to the preparation of the Annual Operating Plans & the implementation Innovation agendas.

Specific activities include:

  • Deliver robust financial inputs (Markets and LATAM HQ P&Ls) for the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Business Plan.
  • Maintain a monthly rolling forecast verifying reasonableness of Bottlers and Distributors forecast challenging variances against Co-op agreements and highlighting risks and opportunities.

Ensure monthly quality and timely availability of financial information for Leadership team

  • Weekly sell out analysis and circulation of report.
  • Control of regional marketing and G&A spend through clear understanding of cross-charges.
  • Input of country forecasts into COGNOS reporting system.
  • Monitor and report accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Analyse the performance of new business initiatives (new product launches, new packaging, business models... etc.) and provide guidance and financial perspective to senior management.
  • Validate reasonableness of the monthly Bottlers and Distributors Case Sales volume submissions.

Establish close working relationship with local finance teams

  • Ensure clarity within Pepsi Lipton and PepsiCo / Unilever on all financial reporting elements
  • Maintain and control records of key business / franchise library documents (EBAs, Commercial and Cooperative Agreements,.. etc.
  • Preparation of presentations for Strategic Business Plan (5Y), Annual Operating Plan (1Y), Pepsi Lipton Board meetings (Quarterly), Periodic Operating Review (Monthly) and preparation of ad hoc analysis to evaluate the financial impact of new commercial terms and business initiatives (RILT & GILT).

Qualifications

What will you be doing?

Business skills

  • Experienced financial background (5+ years).
  • An accountant would be preferable, but technical accounting skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of beverage business and total system economics preferred.
  • Experience of reporting, planning and control processes or alternatively audit background.
  • Proven track record in applying business judgment, through experience and insights gained in large projects and through analysis of business cases from a business logic perspective.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and Power Point and able to quickly learn various in-house software applications (Hyperion, etc).
  • Excellent commercial skills and understanding of business drivers gained in major projects in a business environment.
