Summary :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Director of Sales, New Business Development is accountable for identifying and delivering new business through new client acquisition for pep. This requires a strategic approach that includes the ability to analyze the market place as well as reaching and influencing C-Level contacts. This candidate will need to have excellent skills in the development of proposals that align with the client's focus and business needs. The Sales Director will collaborate and work closely with all stakeholders within the business to ensure successful implementations are in place with new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business by leveraging relationships, prospecting, conducting industry analysis and client segmentation
  • Drive and manage the entire sales process: targeting prospects, identifying client needs and providing compelling proposals that add incremental value to client's business, negotiating and closing those opportunities with speed.
  • Decrease cycle time of the sales process by utilizing tools and technology to drive greater close rates
  • Deliver monthly financial forecasts

Supervisor Responsibilities:

The Director, New Business Development will have direct reports once they have established a steady stream of new business. The following positions may report directly to Director, New Business Development: Sales Executive, New Business Integration Leads, Marketing Coordinator

Job Competencies :


  • Proven track record in New Business Development. Consistent record of delivering incremental sales results
  • Marketing industry knowledge required, outsourced procurement industry knowledge desired
  • Strategic direction and leadership
    • Extensive knowledge of our business, industry and competitive landscape
    • Ability to reach and relate to all levels within a prospective client organization

  • Effective Communication and Presentation skills
    • Delivers clear, concise and well written and oral communication. Tailors the style and content of communication to gain maximum impact

Travel:

Travel of greater than 50% required

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a 2.8+ GPA from four-year college or university preferred, or commensurate industry experience; five or more years related Sales Leadership and New Business Development experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Typing skills should be a minimum of 55 wpm.
