The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for various accounting and reporting analysis for Penske Motor Group (PMG). He/She will interact with employees as all levels of the organization including middle and upper management at the store level and corporate level on a wide range of accounting, reporting and finance projects.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be financial reports/models that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings. He/She will be expected to interpret and analyze the financial statements on a continuous basis and regularly develop and present monthly variance reports, analysis, and recommendations to PMG management. The person in this role will create and update materials for the Company’s Board meetings and provide support for Ad Hoc projects, including business development, real estate lease analysis, and acquisition due diligence. Sr. Financial Analyst will oversee the accurate and timely completion of income tax returns, annual financial audits, and compliance with debt covenants. Additionally, he/she will participate in the preparation of short- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership and maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. He/She is expected to work closely with upper management and other department managers to insure that their needs are met and the lines of communication remain open while maintains high ethical standards in all actions; and may be asked to participate in other projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA Certification is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years experience in Accounting or other Financial position, preferably in the Automotive Industry. Must be detail oriented with exceptional analytical skills; and must possess a high sense of urgency and have the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines. He/She must also have strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. The Sr. Financial Analyst must employ a strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours, work well independently, as in a team environment, and must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
