As designers, we all talk about wanting our work to have an impact. At Pega, yours will be on a global scale, solving a variety of problems in real-time while helping household names gain a better understanding of themselves and their customers. As a Design Lead, you will get to the heart of an end user's needs, behaviors, and emotions from the start of the engagement. You will work with business stakeholders, analysts, and delivery teams to drive better customer outcomes, ensuring solutions are adopted and embraced.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Engage in research efforts to understand users' objectives, obstacles, needs, frustrations, and motivations and translate those findings to relevant insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project team members through divergent & convergent design exercises
  • Provide day-to-day design leadership throughout the Agile development process, including elaboration, grooming and playbacks
  • Design and conduct user testing throughout development, drawing insights from results and keeping the user's voice alive throughout the process.

  • You are an inquisitive problem-seeker who has profound empathy for users
  • You are an intensely proactive doer who pursues the whole story
  • You have leadership experience in UX, IXD, and IA
  • You are comfortable with facilitating design workshops
  • You have a nose for simplicity and truth between the lines of ever-evolving business processes and an appreciation for technology
  • You are a natural storyteller and genial presenter who can distill amorphous and complex concepts into something that's easy for others to grasp at all levels of an account
  • You are a lifelong learner, seeking the latest information both in design tools, methods, and product information


What You've Accomplished:

  • You have a BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
  • You have 7 years hands-on in your chosen field
  • You have 3 years leading teams
  • You have experience consulting and acting as an experience advocate for internal and/or client-facing teams
  • You have an appreciation of front-end UI technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript You have a background in product design, service design, or experience design, business transformation, information systems, or another related field
