Financial Controller

The Position:

The Finance Manager and his or her team will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and advising on the budgeting and forecasting of the relevant Business Partners' organization. This role will also be responsible for monthly accounting close support, quarterly audit support, and taking care of ad-hoc financial requests for the organizations. These organizations currently include (relevant organizations). The Finance Manager will also be responsible for the mentoring and development of staff.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the India and APAC financial closing process - coordinate everyone's efforts to the schedule; ensure that all required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed.
  • Ensure that all India and APAC financial data is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ensure that monthly close deadlines for US SEC reporting purposes are met.
    Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures including process documentation and control matrix
  • Review and approve India and APAC accounting transactions, maintain general ledger, sub-ledgers and fiscal records.
  • Manage and support the maintenance of the general ledger and fixed asset systems.
  • Manage India and APAC operating cash, the weekly bank reconciliation, and reporting.
    Provide support for daily operations of other finance areas (tax, treasury, payroll, financial planning and analysis).
  • Manage the preparation of all financial reports
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
  • Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
  • Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues
  • Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Ensure all audits are completed as within the Statutory timelines

The Person:

Qualifications will include:

  • CA with strong experience in working for IT companies/ Big 4 audit firms.

Should have:-

  • At least 8+ years of experiencein Finance
  • Extensive Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including U.S. and India Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA
